They described the pending project as “timely and in the right direction,” most especially when the world is challenged with multiple health crises.

The project, which is expected to be completed within a six-month period, is valued over US$55. It is sponsored by River Gee County District #2 Representative I.B. Choloplay Wuo.

A fortnight ago, the county Superintendent, Mike T. Swengbe, led a team of local government officials at Rep. Wuo’s residence unto the official groundbreaking ceremony.

They team assured the public that the county administration will fully support the initiative.

Rep. Wuo called for an urgent need for a clinic in the area with over 2,000 inhabitants.

“Our people have long suffered, due to lacked of basic healthcare to the extent that the sick ones often walked long distances to access medical services.”

Wuo said the initiative is part of his commitment to fulfil campaign promises made during the 2023 elections.

Madam Doris Parlot, on behalf of the residents, expressed heartfelt appreciation to Rep. Wou, noting that the clinic would represent a turning point for healthcare in the area.

“When this clinic finishes, it means our hospital problems finish,” she said.
