Residents of Telecom Community in Kakata, Margibi County, have been left in shock after they uncovered the deaths of three people in a grocery shop.

The deceased included a mother and her son, who were earlier found unresponsive inside a small shop early Sunday, October 11.

The deceased have been identified as Nancy Tengbeh, popularly known as Aunty K, a local food vendor; her son, Abel Flomo; and their neighbor, David Sao.

Information Classic FM gathered, the victims were the only people, who slept inside the shop overnight before they were discovered unresponsive the next morning.

Police officers, who responded to the information transported the victims to C.H. Rennie Hospital, where doctors confirmed their deaths.

The circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear, leaving residents searching for answers as questions emerge about what happened inside the shop during the night.

Some community members have speculated that exhaustion, or fumes from cooking activities may have contributed to the incident.

Reports indicated that Tengbeh had been prepared bitter balls on a charcoal stove.

However, there is no verified evidence to establish that the cooking activity was connected to the deaths.

As of late Sunday, police had not issued an official statement providing details about the incident, or explaining whether a formal investigation had been initiated.
