The administration of Tubman University (TU) has recognized the hard works of 220 staff members.
By the recognition, each of the staff, specifically those assigned in the maintenance department, was presented a bag of 25kg rice.
The gesture served as appreciation for their passion, dedication, and commitment to the upkeep of the university, and daily operation.
The donation covered workers from several other departments, including cleaners, janitors, security personnel, and general maintenance staff.
University administrators said, these workers form the backbone of the institution, ensuring that classrooms, offices, bathrooms, and public spaces remain safe, and conducive for students, staff, and visitors.
The workers expressed gratitude for the donation, and said, the recognition has motivated them to work even harder.
“We are happy that our efforts are being noticed. This will push us to keep our campus clean, and safe for everyone,” one beneficiary said.
Human Resource Officer, Thardalius Kumar, delivered a message on behalf of the Board and University President, Dr. Olu Q. Menjay.
Kumar emphasized the need for TU to remain committed, and create a good, and safe working environment for all employees.
“This initiative is intended to boost morale and efficiency among our workers. Your tireless service does not go unnoticed.”
Kumar said, supporting staff welfare directly impacts the quality of the learning environment, and the overall reputation of the university.
Heads of various departments, who received the rice on behalf of their teams, also thanked the university administration.
They praised Dr. Menjay for his consistent efforts to provide opportunities, and show appreciation to workers at all levels on campus.
