The youth of River Gee County have geared up to receive Youth and Sports Minister Cornelia Wonkerleh Kruah.
Minister Kruah visit to the county is being described as “momentous occasion.”
It started from Monday, April 6, and will end on Saturday, April 11.
As part of her nationwide engagement tour, Minister Kruah aims to strengthen youth development initiatives and promote unity among the young people.
Under the banner: “One River Gee Youth,” prominent youth groups, including the Association of River Gee Youth, and the Liberia National Students Union; River Gee Chapter, have collaborated to make the visit a success.
As such, the groups have printed customized T-shirts, flyers, and stickers to showcase their enthusiasm and support for the Minister and her entourage.
The visit provides a platform for dialogue between young people and national leadership, allowing youth to voice concerns, share aspirations, and propose solutions to challenges affecting their future.
Planned events include youth-led exhibitions, interactive discussions, and community outreach initiatives, celebrating the county’s cultural heritage and development priorities.
Minister Kruah has meanwhile, committed the Ministry to advance inclusive strategies that will address education, employment, and social development challenges.
Her visit is part of Phase-2 of the Ministry’s county tour initiative, focusing on decentralizing youth programs and making them more responsive to local needs.
