Trouble surrounding the ‘missing’ election magistrate in Sinoe County is far from over.
As such, the leadership of the House of Representatives has cited National Elections Commission (NEC) chairperson to appear before lawmakers to provide any update about the ‘missing’ magistrate.
The invitation followed a formal communication Sinoe County Electoral District #3 Representative, Alex S. Noah, submitted.
The communication requested the indulgence of Plenary to invite the NEC Chairperson to provide an update on the whereabouts of the ‘missing’ senior elections magistrate, Solomon Jaryenneh.
Jaryenneh’s disappearance has raised growing concerns among citizens and lawmakers since the issue was reported to the public.
Rep. Noah said, reports from family members indicate that Jaryenneh’s whereabouts have remained unknown since early April, 2026. Family sources disclosed how Jaryenneh had attended an NEC-organized workshop in Maryland County in late March, 2026, but has since gone missing.
Noah said, given the sensitive and critical responsibilities assigned to election officials, especially a senior elections magistrate, the matter warrants immediate attention and urgent clarification from the NEC.
The communication further said, Jaryenneh’s disappearance for nearly three months without any public update from NEC has become a source of concern for his family, residents of Sinoe County, and the general public.
Noah has meanwhile, questioned the efforts the Commission has undertook to locate Mr. Jaryenneh.
For that, he expressed concern over a lack of communication regarding the matter.
Following deliberations, House leadership agreed to cite the NEC Chairperson to provide updates and clarify actions being taken concerning the ‘missing’ magistrate.
