An officer of the Liberia National Police (LNP) tragically lost his life on Wednesday, September 17, in the afternoon hours at the Iron Gate Police Depot in District 17, Montserrado County.
Eyewitnesses narrated that the officer (not named), was assigned at the VOA Junction in Brewerville, but meet his demised when his motorbike reportedly collided with a moving truck as he attempted to overtake the speeding vehicle.
Other accounts said the incident occurred when the front tyre of the officer motorbike was struck by the vehicle rear tyres; a situation that led to the officer sudden death.
Investigation continues.
