Pleebo Citizens Manhunt Alleged Murderer Of Boy, 3

Residents of Weah Village, in Maryland County have launched a manhunt for a man only identified as Prince, who allegedly killed a 3-year-old boy on Thursday, July 10, 2025.

‎‎Weah Village General Town Chief, Gabriel Harmon, said little Adolphus Collins, was with his mother, Oretha Nyemah under a tent used as a makeshift kitchen when the tragic incident occurred.

‎‎Harmon noted that Nyemah reportedly left her son briefly to retrieve something from the house, but upon her return, she discovered the lifeless body of the child with brutal wounds.

‎‎According to eyewitnesses, the alleged perpetrator fled the scene upon committing the crime.

‎‎Community residents narrated that the deceased was buried on the same day as residents of the town aided by the Community Watch Forum to launch a manhunt in the surrounding bushes and nearby towns.

‎‎The gruesome incident has drawn hundreds of sympathizers to the community, as the victim’s mother is said to be in a state of deep psychological trauma.

‎‎Meanwhile, community members testified that before the incident, the suspect allegedly threatened to kill a local farmer identified as Jackson Wesseh in the morning hours of the same day.

‎‎ “Wake up! I’m ready for you because my devil needs blood today,” Prince is reported to have said after knocking on Wesseh’s door while he was in bed.

‎‎Napoleon S. Nimely, a witness told the Liberia News Agency that after the confrontation, Prince left the area but little did they know that the alleged perpetrator would have returned to set the house ablaze.

‎‎Upon Wesseh’s return to his home from Weah Village, he found his house burned to the ground, leading to the loss of his clothes, utensils, farming implements and cash among others.

‎‎The suspect is also reportedly known for his violent behavior, including repeated abuse of his own parents, which allegedly led to his father cutting family ties with him.

‎‎Suspect Prince is a resident of Harper City but recently moved to Weah Village to engage in burning charcoal.

‎‎Despite efforts by the Community Watch Forum and local residents, the suspect remains at large.

‎‎Weah Village is located approximately 8Km from Harper, along the Pleebo Highway.

‎‎Authorities continue to urge anyone with information about Prince’s whereabouts to come forward.
