Orange Liberia’s Commitment to Responsible Connectivity

Orange Liberia remains steadfast in its commitment to building a safer, more responsible digital environment for all. Through the #ForGoodConnections initiative, by the Orange Group, the company is ensuring that children, parents, and communities across Liberia are empowered to use the internet wisely.

Everywhere Orange operates globally, #ForGoodConnections awareness campaigns are ongoing, reinforcing the company’s dedication to protecting young users and promoting digital responsibility.

This year, Orange Liberia has expanded its outreach to Margibi, Grand Bassa, and Montserrado counties, engaging hundreds of students, teachers, and parents. The program addresses three urgent challenges:

  • Cyberbullying
  • Screen addiction
  • Inappropriate content

The workshops, conducted by Dr. Noosevett J. Weah, have been described as transformative.

Dr. Weah has not only led the sessions but has also joined children on the field afterward, playing sports and reinforcing the importance of balancing online and offline life. She noted that the feedback from participants has been “heartwarming” and emphasized that “our young phone users will never be the same.”

Orange Liberia’s leadership, including Cllr. Supu Cole, HR Director, has reiterated that both internal and external customers are encouraged to attend these workshops. Staff are being given dedicated time to participate, ensuring that the message of responsible internet use resonates across the organization.

By embedding responsibility into its corporate culture and community outreach, Orange Liberia is demonstrating that protecting children online is protecting Liberia’s future.
