The Better Movement for Development headed by Joshua D.K. Better, converged on Friday, June 19, 2026, for an acquaintance meeting in Johnsonville Township, Montserrado County.
The agenda unfolded into the Declaration of Intent before a cross-section of residents to contest for the district representative seat in 2029.
“It was a group of communities with their chairpersons that walked out and requested me to put my hat into the race.”
During the occasion, the movement’s vision bearer acknowledged that he formally accepted the plea to represent the district in the 2029 legislative elections.
Mr. Better described his involvement and engagement with the body politics of the constituency as a “beginning of light, and a new emergence of District #2.”
The Better Movement, is the peoples’ movement beyond the limitations of political parties.
Madam Korpu Suah, the market superintendent spoke on behalf of the business community.
Madam Suah: “When the Christmas will be good; you will tell from the eve.”
She attributed the statement to her group, which she said, will support politicians, who prioritize development ahead of elections.
Other stakeholders, who participated in the gathering at the compound of Mr. Better said, they appreciate his contributions for roads and alleys construction, provision of scholarships and jobs creation.
Mr. Better has committed to serve the people with integrity, transparency and dedication with focus on citizens’ welfare and infrastructural development.
He promised to among other things, promotes healthcare, education, peace and security to ensure that he would effectively represent the district for a sustained development.
