Nyanton Yearns For Change

By Domingo Dargbeh

Deputy Youth and Sports Minister for Technical and Vocation Education and Training (TVET), Laraamond Shenkin Nyanton, has spoken of the political landscape in District #12, which he claimed has been marred by ‘deceitful politicians’ over the years.

‎Nyanton’s address at the Unity Party Youth Congress in Gardnersville, outside Monrovia, highlighted the pressing need for a leadership that will prioritize community needs over personal gains.

‎His remarks came against a backdrop of disillusionment among the district youth, who, despite their overwhelming support for UP, are yet to see any tangible at the legislature.

‎”The youth have been deceived over the past years by self-serving politicians,” Nyanton said. He spoke of a growing frustration that has permeated the district.

This sentiment resonates with the views of many other residents, who feel let down by their elected officials that they claimed have failed to deliver on promises made during election campaigns.

‎‎ Nyanton call for integrity, especially when the community grapples with the consequences of years of unfulfilled political promises.

He then urged current and aspiring leaders to resist the temptation of exploiting their visionary ideals for personal gains, instead advocating for a focus on making a tangible impact in the lives of their constituents.
