Moye Expands Youth Empowerment

More than 250 residents of Gbenequelleh Town, and neighboring communities in Electoral District #2, Bong County, have begun a “free three-month” vocational skills training program.

The program is sponsored by Senator Prince Kermue Moye, in partnership with the Baleylabo Youth Development Initiative Professional Skills Training Program.

The initiative, officially launched on Friday, June 26, 2026, is designed to equip young people and adults with practical vocational skills that will enable them create employment opportunities, improve household incomes, and reduce unemployment.

Jerry Howard is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Baleylabo Youth Development Initiative Professional Skills Training Program.

Howard confirmed how Sen. Moye has financed the entire program as part of his commitment to empower communities through education and skills development.

From the program, participants will receive intensive hands-on training in catering and pastry production, hair braiding and makeup artistry, professional driving, soap making and several other marketable trades.

Howard urged beneficiaries to remain committed throughout the three-month training period to maximize the opportunity.

Moye’s Special Assistant, Abel R. Okai, commended the Baleylabo Youth Development Initiative for partnering with the Senator to provide practical skills training to residents.

Okai reaffirmed Sen. Moye’s dedication to youth empowerment and vocational education.

He described the initiative as an investment in the future of District #2.

Gbenequelleh Town Chief, Madam Rebecca Wesseh, expressed appreciation to Sen. Moye for bringing the program to the town.

Madam Wesseh praised Moye’s continued support for development initiatives.

Some of the beneficiaries said, the program will provide practical skills capable of transforming their economic future.
