The County Health Registrar, Emmanuel Kadee, made the disclosure over the weekend in Zwedru. Kadee said local authorities have made available an office space at the County Service Center for exclusive use for the issuance of birth certificates.

He said the training will build the capacities of staff that will later perform major roles at the center.

Kadee said investigators, registrars, officers from the Liberia Immigration Service, will carry out the task.

During the training, Kadee said, applicants for birth certificates will submit their bio-data and basic information, which will be processed through the central office in Monrovia that would be ready in one week.

Kadee added that after the training, the processing of birth certificates will be done in a few hours at the county levels.

He meanwhile, called on the MoH to speedily initiate the training and subsequent issuance of birth and death certificates.
