Bong County Police Commander Fasu Sheriff, has taken action to protect residents by extending nighttime restrictions on commercial, and partial private motorcyclists time of travels.
Sheriff said the new restricted hours, from 12:30 a.m. to 5: a.m., are instituted to strengthen security, and further prevent criminal activities during vulnerable night hours.
Sheriff explained that any motorcycle operating beyond these stipulated hours will be have his/her bike seized, and for 48 hours with a US$20 fine required to reclaim the Impounded vehicle.”
He highlighted that enforcement is not meant to punish the citizens, but to ensure the safety of families, businesses, and communities.
Sheriff underscored the reflection of the measure on country’s ongoing commitment to protect; community centered policing, where citizens’ cooperation, and trust are central to reduce crime.
Sheriff noted that night patrols are strategically deployed throughout the county to create a visible presence that deters criminal behavior, and promotes peace.
He highlighted that since taking command, he has prioritized discipline, efficiency, and community engagement, transforming Bong County Police into a force capable of delivering results and earning public confidence.
