LEC Launches Recruitment Drive

The Liberia Electricity Corporation (LEC), through its Human Resources Division, has launched a staff recruitment exercise in Grand Bassa and River Cess counties.

The project, according to a release, is part of LEC’s efforts to connect rural communities under the CLSG–Rural Electrification Project funded by the African Development Bank.

The recruitment aims to locally hire residents in preparation for the management of the new electricity grids in both counties.

The recruitment advert was published on September 3, 2025, across public and private facilities in the counties, as well as on LEC’s official social media platforms.

The process officially commenced with oral interviews held from September 26–29, 2025, at the conference room of the Grand Bassa Administrative Building.

As the recruitment process continues, LEC looks forward to engaging additional skilled personnel, and encourages qualified residents to take advantage of these opportunities to contribute to the growth and development of their counties, and the collective progress.

According to the release, upon arrival in Grand Bassa, the LEC recruitment team paid a courtesy visit to Karyou Johnson, the 46th Superintendent of Grand Bassa County, who welcomed and provided his support during the initiative.
