Houses’ Chief Clerk Honored By Feona Benson Kollie

Two groups under the banner, Citizens United for Better Liberia and Liberia Media Network on Thursday, March 27, 2025, honored Madam Mildred N. Sayon.

Madam Sayon is the chief clerk at the House of Representative (hor).

The two groups jointly honored Madam Sayon for her “long and dedicated service to the government through the HoR. Also, for her humanitarian service to Liberians in general.”

 By that honor, she earned the title: “An Outstanding Chief Clerk and Humanitarian of the 55th Legislature of The Year.”

At the honoring program in Monrovia, Madam Sayon commended the groups for the recognitions, adding: “I did not know that my services were being noticed out there by others, specially, professionals.”

She said that story for her work at the HoR as a chief clerk is a long story, referencing the Almighty God for her successes over the years.

Madam Sayon said that becoming a chief clerk of the HoR was not because of politics, “but for my professional contributions to the House over the years.”

Meanwhile, Madam Sayon, has distanced her professional life from politic as other may think.

“I am a professional, who accordingly, has worked over the years to reach her goal as a chief clerk of the HoR since 2011,” Madam Sayon said.

She further said her work being notified by others was also through the efforts of her family and co-workers whose cooperation has brought her thus far.

She meanwhile appreciated members of the House of Representatives for the confidence imposed in her over the years.

She then promised not to be complacent, but to continue working higher for the interest of the country.

Earlier, the groups Kesseley Barzeh, said that honoring of Madam Sayon was due to her professional and humanitarian contributions to society over the years.

He added that the contributions of Madam Sayon cannot be over emphasize, naming her long services to the legislature and the society that deserve due recognition.

 

Mr. Barzeh, also cautioned madam Sayon not to be complacent, but to continue to work in the interest of the country.
