House Summons Stakeholders

The House Committee on Hydrocarbon, has invited officials from the Ministry of Public Works, the National Oil Company of Liberia (NOCAL), Liberia Petroleum Refinery Company (LPRC) and the Liberia Petroleum Regulatory Authority (LPRA) to an acquaintance meeting.

The meeting, according to the citation, is scheduled for Friday, October 17, 2025, at 12 p.m.

The Committee is chaired by Sam P. Jallah, Bomi County Electoral District #3 Representative.

According to Jallah, the engagement is intended to foster collaboration, and strengthen coordination between the committee and key institutions operating in the hydrocarbon and infrastructure sectors.

It is expected that during the hearing, the invited entities, will provide a general oversight briefing on their respective institutional functions, programs and activities.

In return, the Committee will outline its roadmap, and oversight priorities for the legislative period, highlighting how it intends to work closely with these institutions in the execution of its constitutional duties.

The meeting, Jallah said, seeks to establish a constructive working relationship built on transparency, accountability, and shared responsibility to advance energy and petroleum development agenda.
