The Director of Press and Public Affairs at the House of Representatives (HoR), Robert Haynes, has undertaken reforms.
Haynes said the initiatives are aimed at enhancing efficiency, transparency and legislative output.
He spoke when he appeared on Bushrod Radio flagship program, “Morning Bird,” on Monday September 15, 2025.
Haynes informed the public on the current workings of the Legislature.
During the engagement, he highlighted the renovation of the historic original chamber, which is now 87 percent completed, which upon the resumption of the Third Quarter Sitting, lawmakers will utilize the refurbished facility to debate on key legislations that directly affect the lives of the Liberian people.
Haynes said the introduction of digitized fingerprint systems at entry points to the Capitol Building was remarkable.
He cited the new security measure with strict access control, safeguard the integrity of legislative proceedings and modernize the overall operations of the House.
Haynes also formed his audience that part of the Bureau’s ongoing engagement with the public is promote openness and accessibility of the Legislature working under the stewardship of Speaker Richard Nagbe Koon.
