EPA Concludes Training On Coastal Resilience

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), has concluded a two-day capacity-building training for working groups and focal points.

The workshop on strengthening the resilience of vulnerable coastal communities in Southeast and coastal defend strategy.

The training was held in Greenville City, Sinoe County, from Thursday, August 28, to Friday, August 29, 2025.

According to a release, it brought together more than 50 participants from Maryland, River Cess, Grand Kru and the host county, Sinoe.

Each of the sessions focused on equipping local representatives, and focal persons with the knowledge and tools to address environmental challenges threatening coastal areas, including climate change, sea erosion, and flooding.

Participants also discussed community-driven strategies to safeguard livelihoods and promote sustainable development.
