D#2 Lawmaker Rehabilitates Gbolorbo Kweloken Road

Residents of Gbolorbo Kweloken Town have celebrated improved access and renewed hope after the completion of phase one of a major road rehabilitation project.

Representative Anthony F. Williams spearheaded the project.

The newly rehabilitated road links Gbolorbo Kweloken to surrounding communities, easing movement for farmers and traders, who have long struggled with poor road conditions. Work is set to extend to neighboring towns, including Gbolorbo Sedieken and Tunbaken.

Rep. Williams said, improving road connectivity remains a top priority in his legislative agenda.

He reaffirmed his commitment to address basic needs in the district to boost economic activity, and raise living standards in rural communities.

The upgraded roads are expected to help women and farmers transport produce such as pepper, cassava, plantain, bitter ball, fufu and cane juice to markets in the city more easily.

Better access should also allow local businesspeople to reach the villages, increasing food supply and trade opportunities in the area.

In appreciation, residents presented a live goat to Rep. Williams’ constituency coordinator as a symbol of gratitude.

Locals described the project as a “new dawn” for the district, and voiced optimism that continued development efforts will bring lasting progress.
