Josiah Marvin Cole, National Vice Chair for Operations of the opposition of the Citizens Movement for Change (CMC), has reassured citizens that the Gbarnga bridge project will continue despite unfolding event.
Cole assurance came despite

the Ministry of Public Works suspension of the project.

He said the project is critical for youth empowerment, infrastructure development, and community growth in the county.

He described attacks attributed to opposition, particularly against CMC Political Leader, Musa Hassan Bility, on the construction of the bridge as divisive. Cole said Mr. Bility comment threatened peace, and therefore, he called on all supporters to remain peaceful, respectful and law-abiding.

“Protecting unity is as important as completing development projects,” Rep. Cole.

The Ministry of Public Works halted the bridge project after confirming that the initiative was launched without prior approval or submission of technical designs in violation of national regulations.

However, Cole affirmed that he has taken action by engaging his colleagues to coordinate with the Ministry, and lift the suspension, ensuring that the construction resumes immediately.

Throughout, Cole positioned himself as a visionary and proactive leader, balancing the defense of peace with the delivery of tangible results for communities.
