The Government of the People’s Republic of China, has reinforced its commitment to Liberia’s development.
To justify the assurance, the Chinese Government has donated a consignment of vital medical supplies to the Ministry of Health, with a focus on strengthening maternal and child healthcare services.
The donated items include 22 delivery beds, 33 baby cribs, and 15 infant warmers, is expected to significantly improve health outcomes and reduce maternal and neonatal mortality rates in the country.
Health Minister Louise Kpoto, described the gesture as “the most needed gifts.”
Dr. Kpoto said the supplies would play a critical role in preventing avoidable deaths among mothers and newborns.
“This donation is a clear demonstration of China’s unwavering partnership with Liberia. These medical supplies will go a long way in saving lives and improving the quality of healthcare delivery,” Dr. Kpoto said.
The initiative highlights China’s continued contributions to Liberia’s socio-economic development, further cementing its role as a key ally in the country progress.
From infrastructure to health, education, and agriculture, the Liberia-China relationship has remained a cornerstone of development cooperation.
