Chief Justice Envisages Corruption-Free Judiciary ..In His 2026 XMas Message

The Chief Justice, His Honor Yamie Quiqui Gbeisay, Sr., delivered a short Christmas message of Love, Unity, and Peace.

Gbeisay’s message reiterated his commitment to strengthen the judiciary.

He expressed the hope to see the New Year(2026) as a “Corruption Free Judiciary.”

According to report, a Memo was sent out from the office of the Court Administrator, Counselor William B. Kollie, Sr., instructing all directors, deputies, and assistant directors, section of heads, and employees in all categories to gather on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, and attend the official lighting of the Judiciary’s Christmas Tree.

At the lighting program, Chief Justice Gbeisay told staff of the judiciary that, “This Season reminds us of the value of love, compassion, and unity. As Chief Justice, I am reminded of the profound legacy of Christmas, a symbol of peace, hope, unity, and love.”

Gbeisay was not silent in quoting a scripture from the bible, which caught the attention of all employees, thinking he was a Bible scholar.

While backing his statement, Gbeisay said, “Christ left us with a powerful message in John (chapter) 13: 34: “A new command I give you: love one another, as I have loved you, so you must love one another. May we, as God’s children, be it Muslims or Christians, embrace this message and strive for Peace, Love, and Unity in our nation.”

He urged employees to celebrate the spirit of Christmas and honor a tradition handed down by our forefathers, while extending heartfelt wishes to all Liberians and friends of Liberia.

On integrity and corruption, Gbeisay reminded employee: “We hope that 2026 will bring us a judiciary that is disciplined and corruption-free; a judiciary that enjoys national and international integrity.”
