Bong Youth Honor Karfiah’s ‘Lifelong’ Dedication

Bong County-based Academic Concerned Students Union (ACOSU), has honored the county former Electoral District #5 Representative, Edward W. Karfiah.

ACOSU honored Karfiah for his “longstanding commitment to youth empowerment and educational advancement.”

The recognition took place on Friday, May 16, during the official dedication of ACOSU’s newly opened headquarters office in Gbarnga.

The event attracted scores of students, youth leaders, and community members, who celebrated the organization’s growing role in promoting educational support, and student development.

Karfiah, ACOSU’s leadership said, was recognized for his “continuous support that positively impacted the lives of young people, particularly in the areas of education and leadership development.

The organization praised Karfih for his “enduring passion that has helped students through meaningful opportunities and support programs.”

ACOSU also presented a formal petition requesting assistance for several initiatives, including its flashing program, feeding support for 12th grade students preparing for this year’s national examinations.

Martin Fofana, who received the honor on behalf of Karfiah, thanked the organization for the recognition and pledged Karfiah’s continued support to youth-centered initiatives.
