32-Yr-Old Woman Death Condemned

Grand Kru County Gender, Children and Social Protection Coordinator, Regina Walker, has condemned the recent death of a 32-year-old Victoria Tarkah.

The late Victoria was earlier accused of being a wizard (witch) and allegedly brutalized until she died at the hands of her accusers.

Three men, who were directly linked to her death, had reportedly escaped to an unknown location.

Madam Walker said the Victoria Tarkah lifeless body was discovered on the outskirts of Ylatwen Community of Wedabo in the county Electoral District #1.

A team of police officers led by Inspector Brownstone Hne, have reportedly launched a manhunt perpetrators of the heinous crime.

Meanwhile, curious residents have linked three persons to the crime.

They have been identified as Abenego Dweh, age 26, Boniface Nyengar, an adult male, and Bernord Kuoh, 29 years old.

The accused are believed to be residents of Ylatwen. They have reportedly escaped with the alleged assistance of some Community Watch Forum members.

Police investigation reliably gathered that on Sunday, September 7, 2025, around noon, they received a call from Ylatwen Township general Town Chief, Allison Bloh, who reported that a group of young men from the area had attacked a woman, named Victoria Tarkah, 32.

Report indicated that victim Victoria Tarkah was unconscious, but at least three suspects were under the custody of the Community Watch Forum.

Madam Walker referenced reports from the county Police Detachment, which indicated that Victoria Tarkah was murdered by poisoning on grounds that she was accused of witchcraft.

She furthered quoted police investigation that the team inquired with the town chief about Victoria’s whereabouts, but he feigned ignorance and provided no useful information, added that no community member was willing to assist the police either.

Madam Walker expressed appreciation for the swift response from the Police Detachment upon being notified of the incident, as she assured that justice will prevail for the late Victoria.
