The Paynesville City Corporation’s (PCC) Environmental and Safety Department, recently conducted a random operation.
The operation, according to a release, resulted in the seizure and responsible disposal of several sacks of ‘expired fruit juice.’
The exercise, carried out across various streets vending locations, aims to safeguard public health and maintain the city’s sanitation standards.
During the enforcement activity, officials identified vendors and marketers distributing ‘expired beverages’ that could pose health risks to consumers.
The seized items were promptly removed from circulation and handed over for proper disposal in accordance with environmental safety protocols.
These actions are part of the PCC’s ongoing efforts to regulate food and beverage quality in Paynesville, and prevent any potential health hazards caused by expired products.
PCC has meanwhile, urged all street vendors and marketers to adhere strictly to food safety regulations, including the timely expiration of products and maintaining hygienic conditions.
The Environmental and Safety Department of PCC also encourages residents to report any suspicious or unsafe food items to local authorities by calling cell numbers 07759 12580 and 07772 22051. PCC said, it remains committed to fostering a clean, safe, and healthy environment for all residents.
