The expected results of the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) will be released to the public anytime next week.
In line with the scheduled release of the results, the Head of WAEC-Liberia, Dale G. Gbotoe, has formally informed the student populace that the official results of the 2024- 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) will be out between August 12 or 14, 2025.
Gbotoe made the disclosure at the Ministry of Information regular press briefing on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, in Monrovia.
He meanwhile, dismissed widespread rumors circulating across social media platforms and local radio stations suggesting that WAEC- Liberia has already published the results of the recently concluded WASSCE examinations.
Gbotoe told the news conference that no such results have been released, labeling the reports as “misleading and unfounded.”
“WAEC-Liberia wishes to clarify to the general public, especially the candidates, parents, and school administrators, that no results of the 2024 2025 WASSCE have been released,” Mr. Gbotoe said.
He added: “All reports and social media posts suggesting that the results are out are completely false and misleading. We are yet to complete all procedural requirements leading to the official release of the results.”
He said the examination body has been diligently working through the necessary processes, including the meticulous verification and validation of examination scripts to ensure the accuracy, credibility and transparency of the final results.
“In WAEC, we adhere strictly to international standards and protocols before announcing examination outcomes. This process involves multiple layers of verification to uphold the integrity of the results and protect the credibility of the entire educational assessment system,” Gbotoe said.
He said the examination council will first present the final WASSCE results to the Ministry of Education and subsequently to the Office of the President, Joseph Nyuma Boakai, before making the results available to the general public.
