US$100K Hub Project In Limbo

Mr. Amos Kollie, a resident of Gbarnga, has emerged as the leading voice that is said to be exposing the shocking failure of Senator Johnny Kpehe’s US$100,000 ambulance hub, a project that was promised to save lives.

Instead, residents described it as a “symbol of political deception, mismanagement and public betrayal.”

Kollie recalled that following the highly publicized groundbreaking in August, the site remains completely inactive with overgrown grass.

“No workers, no construction materials, and no equipment have been seen,” Mr. Kollie said, as he raises suspicions that the allocated funds may have been “mismanaged for political purposes.”

He said the project, intended to provide emergency healthcare services, has failed entirely.

Residents, Kollie noted, “feel deceived and abandoned. The delay is not merely frustrating, but life-threatening.”

In a county where access to emergency medical care is already limited, the absence of the promised ambulance hub has left the locals vulnerable.

Kollie said the repeated attempts to obtain answers from Senator Kpehe or his office, have been ignored.

This silence has intensified public anger, and prompted widespread calls for a full audit, and investigation into the handling of the US$100,000.

The community demands to know where the money went; how it was spent, and who is responsible for the stalled project.

Mr. Kollie pointed out that this is not an isolated failure, but part of a broader pattern in Liberian politics where leaders announce grand development projects for political gain, but fail to follow through.

For Kollie, the project is no longer just about construction; it is about accountability, transparency and justice.

He vows on behalf of the locals to continue pressing for answers, promising not to accept vague promises or silence from their leaders.

“The dormant site of the ambulance hub stands as a stark reminder that political grandstanding has replaced public service, and that without immediate investigation, funds and public trust are being squandered,” Kollie cried.

Meanwhile, all efforts to contact Sen. Kpehe for comment have been fruitless, as he continues to ignore calls and refuses to respond to text messages.
