Tomah-Seh Floyd:

“No Compromise, No Fronting”

The chief executive officer (CEO) of Jungle Water Group of Investments, Tomah-Seh Floyd, has taken a hard line on Liberia’s evolving distribution reform agenda.

The investments are basically Nimba County based with chain of businesses.

His businesses in Nimba, Monrovia and other places include, provision and grocery stores, as well as petroleum and local merchandises.

Floyd warned against “fronting” schemes in the business sector. He meanwhile, backed

government’s new push to restructure supply chains.

He also backed VP Koung’s 30-Day supply chain reform, but warned against “fake local distribution schemes.”

Mr. Floyd spoke on Spoon TV after holding a high-level meeting between manufacturers and Vice President Jeremiah Kpan Koung.

He said, Liberian businesses must operate with transparency as government moves to redefine how products are distributed nationwide.

‎Floyd said, the committee headed by VP Koung has given stakeholders a 30-day window to develop a workable system. A system, he described as a “critical test phase for the new policy direction.”

When questioned about business stakeholders’ stance while developing a workable system within the 30-day period given, Floyd said, they will not compromise anything.

‎“It is not possible for us to have any compromise, they might try to bypass the system by bringing in a local name as distributor, and giving small payments. That is fronting, and it must be filtered out.”

He argued that while manufacturers may already have established partners, the current reform effort is to correct market leakages, and ensure genuine Liberian ownership in distribution channels.

‎Mr. Floyd also dismissed concerns about capacity gaps among Liberian businesses, insisting that credibility and logistics strength already exist locally, and should be fully utilized instead of being sidelined.

‎he said, the bigger goal is not just business opportunities, but restructuring the supply chain to ensure fair pricing, stronger regulation and wider local participation without disruption to the market.
