Farmers in Zota District, Bong County, are celebrating a new hope and empowerment they have received from the Togba and Gbellai Foundation.
The Foundation is under the leadership of Mr. Togba Gbellai.
During a visit to Naama Town, Gbellai committed the Foundation to help in the farmers as they thrived despite the many challenges facing them.
He described agriculture as the heartbeat of the country growth, and promised to continue standing with those, who feed the nation.
In a symbolic show of support, Mr. Gbellai presented L$10,000 to the Widows and Widowers Children Agricultural Group; a community-based organization working to sustain food production in the district.
He assured the farmers that the gesture marks only the beginning of a lasting partnership aimed to improve yields, creates jobs, and ensure food security.
The visit sparked joy among the farmers, who hailed Mr. Gbellai as a true son of the soil, and a leader, who acts rather than talks.
The farmers expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Togba and Gbellai Foundation for its support and commitment to rural development.
They praised Mr. Gbellai compassion and commitment to development, noting that his presence alone has reignited their motivation to work harder for a better future.
Observers say the Togba and Gbellai Foundation has become one of the most impactful community organizations in Bong County investing in people, building local capacity, and promoting sustainable agriculture.
As Liberia continues its journey toward self-sufficiency, the actions of people like Togba Gbellai remind many that genuine leadership starts with service, compassion and the will to make a difference.
