River Gee County Senator Jonathan ‘Boycharles’ Sogbie, has challenged authorities at the Ministry of Education (MoE) over its handling of schools in the county.
Sogbie has therefore, called for “fairness and accountability” in running schools.
He told his fellow senator in a regular session on June 30, 2026, that the ministry should holistically address school activities in the county.
Sogbie questioned the ministry’s decisions, which affected River Gee’s education sector, and demanded answers.
He said, locals should have the same access to quality education, and government services as other counties.
“The people of River Gee have not asked for special favors, only equal consideration.”
Sogbie meanwhile, urged the ministry to explain its actions, and called for those found responsible for any ‘unfair treatment’ to face consequences.
He reaffirmed his role as an advocate for the county, adding: “I will continue to push for transparency, accountability, and a more equitable spread of educational resources in River Gee.”
”Every county must be given equal priority in national development.”
Sogbie vowed to keep raising issues that impact the welfare and future of the locals.
