. . . Gray, Solo, Saah Exchange Verbal Blows

In their respective war-of-words, characterized by exchanged of invectives (ma Cuss), former Montserrado District #8, Moses Acarus Gray has come in a sharp defense of the party.

He said those defecting from the CDC, came with nothing, therefore, they are leaving with nothing.

Gray description of the defectors, including Representative Thomas Fallah, Senator Saah Joseph and the party former chair, George Solo, came under barrages of insults calling him “names.”

But Mr. Gray maintained that the likes of Fallah, Joseph and Solo, with their so-called followers were seeking gravy from the ruling Unity Party.

He added: “They Came to the Congress for Democratic Change (CDC) with nothing tangible, and therefore, they are leaving with nothing to affect the party.”

He said that the current deflections of senior partisans from the CDC was not something new, but a “normal phenomenal within the movement.”

Gray characterization of the defectors was contained in a recent statement on a local radio talk show in Paynesville. He was responding to Montserrado County Senator Saah Joseph criticism, and subsequent resignation from the party to the extent that he accused CDCians of burning his house.

“For other people to start leaving now, and people say oh, CDC is falling apart, that is why I called them ‘political parasite;’ they came to the CDC with nothing, and they are leaving with nothing.”

Gray said the CDC made many people like Saah Thomas Fallah, a plank seller, Saah Joseph, hustler, and others, who they prominent today in society.

“Unlike other parties, and it means that they did not make the CDC, as the party has a history of overcoming crises than any political movement in the country. We made them through George Weah’s popularity and the CDC,” Gray.

He said the party has experienced many deflections of its senior partisans from 2005 up to 2017, as compared to any other party in the country, yet then still, the masses remained with the movement as they secured state power in 20217.

Gray said the first person to be removed from his position as Chairman of the CDC was Bangale Cole in 2005. Cole is now the Minister of Youth and Sports.

He was later replaced with Chairman Joshua Sackie, who also resigned in 2009.

“Our 2005 Vice Stander Bearer, Rudolph Johnson resigned, and later in 2011-2012, we expelled our 2011 Stander Bearer Winston Tubman, a lawyer by profession, and both distinguished gentlemen left with their political parties. Again, others left, but CDC stood firm,” he said.

Gray: “If we even leave our current headquarters. yet we will prevail as headquarters have never made the Mighty CDC. It took the masses to rise up to the occasion and by 2017, we secured a commending victory.”

According to him, by 2011, there were mass defections of party executives and lawmakers and by 2012, the most powerful CDC Chairmen, Gould and Senator Doe-Sheriff left the movement along with 60 percent of the party National Executive Committee members and founders, and yet the masses stood up for the party, and we won the election in 2017.

“There were mass resignations of local executives across the counties, but Chairman Gould and others established the Alternative National Congress (ANC). Mr. Urey also left later and established the All Liberian Party (ALP), but yet we prevailed,” he said.

He said CDC acting Chairman Sambola left for the USA and then by 2014, Chairman George Solo also left the party, followed by former Deputy Speaker, Togba Mulbah, who left and established the People’s Unification Party (PUP), but the foundation of the CDC stood firm and solid like the rock of gibraltar.

“Fellow partisans, don’t also be surprised that by 2029, the prodigal sons and daughters will ask for repentance like it was the case in 2017. Mark my words fellow partisans that many will return, because we are the common denominator, and that magnet at the center of gravity. Let’s respect the constitutional rights of people to associate and disassociate no matter what, and by this, we will overall prevail,” Gray added.

In reactions to Gray’s descriptions of Solo and others as “political parasites, Mr. Solo boasted of renting a room for Gray and his girlfriends to the extent that “I personally used to give him money for his upkeep.”

President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, has already nominated Mr. George Solo as ambassador to Italy.

For Saah Joseph: George and I have not been speaking for four of the six years he was in power. So, I don’t care because it was CDCians that burned my house, claiming that I accumulated more votes than Weah in Montserrado during the 2023 elections. They wanted to kill me; kill Muluba Morlu, and they even drugged Morlu and filmed him naked threatening to expose lies against him should he come out and expose Weah’s ills. 

Sen. Joseph: “CDCians, on the order of Weah, chased away investors, who came from Hungary and America. One of them came in the country with US$500 million and the investor from
America brought US$100 million. But Weah and his kitchen cabinets requested for million of dollars from the investors upfront as bribes. So, they left the country in anger.
