Residents of Grand Kru County living with hydrocele are to benefit from a one-month ‘free surgical outreach program.’
The program was launched by the Ministry of Health (MoH) through the Grand Kru County Health Team.
The outreach, which officially began on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, will provide ‘free surgical treatment’ to affected persons.
Health authorities have confirmed that the surgeries will be conducted at “no cost to patients; encouraging those suffering from the condition to take advantage of the opportunity.”
The initiative forms part of MoH’s efforts to expand access to specialized medical services, and improve the quality of life for residents in the county.
Meanwhile, residents are being urged to visit nearby health facilities or contact county health officials for registration, screening, and further details about the outreach.
Officials say the one-month exercise is expected to ease the burden on many patients, who may have been unable to afford cost of the procedure.
