“The Embassy of France in Liberia informs that, contrary to the claims contained in the FrontPage story published on March 25, 2026, Ambassador Isabelle Le Guellec did not confirm the existence of a call between President of the Republic of France Emmanuel Macron, and President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, pertaining to the border disputes between Guinea and Liberia.”
In two of its recent editions, FPA newspaper reported that Pres. Boakai has requested the intervention of Pres. Macron in the Liberia/Guinea impasse.
The newspaper reported that Macron outrightly denied Pres. Boakai’s request.
Sherly after reading the two articles, the embassy denied any knowledge of such conversation between Macron and Boakai.
