By Aaron B. Nemah

A road accident occurred on Thursday, April 2, 2026, along the Fish Town-Gbeapo Pronoken highway in River Gee County.

The accident involved two vehicles traveling from opposite directions.

The vehicles, both operating without license plates, collided head-on, resulting in extensive damage to one, and destroyed goods that were being transported to Pronoken.

The red vehicle, carrying over 15 bags of cement and four passengers, was en-route from Fish Town to Pronoken when the accident happened.

The other vehicle, blue and grey in color, was traveling from Gbeapo Kanweaken toward Fish-Town with only the driver and one passenger on board.

Thankfully, no injuries or fatality were reported, despite the severity of the crash.

The red vehicle was declared beyond repair, while the blue and grey one veered off the road into a nearby valley.

Driver Leo Chenchen, who was behind the wheel of the red vehicle, expressed gratitude that he and his passengers escaped unharmed.

He alleged that the oncoming blue and grey vehicle crossed into his path, causing the collision.

Chenchen called on the Liberia National Police (LNP) to investigate the accident scene.

Meanwhile, Police have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the collision.
