The foundation of the opposition Citizens Movement for Change (CMC) of Musa Bility, has fractured.
The event follows the recent resignation of the Party’s secretary-general Wilfred Nehwon Bangura.
Bangura had decamped from the opposition Movement for Development and Reconstruction (MDR), a party founded by Nimba County Senator Prince Y. Johnson (late).
“I write to you to tender my letter of resignation from my position as secretary general, as well as my membership from the CMC with immediate effect.
This decision is predicated on the need to pursue proper alignment with political values I hold so dearly.
There is no scintilla (scrap) of doubt that the many relations forged over the period while working together to lay down the foundation of the CMC, with a host of such wonderful people that I had the privilege to meet, will persist.
I wish to thank you and the CMC, and hope that the agenda for a more prosperous, equitable and just society would never be abandoned.
Sincerely,
Wilfred J.S. Bangura, II
Former Secretary General and Incorporator-CMC.
