The House of Representatives (HoR) Joint Committee on Compliance Review, has officially cited the chairman of the National Investment Commission (NIC) Jeff B. Blibo.
Blibo is cited to appear along with the full membership of the Inter-Ministerial Concessions Committee (IMCC) before a high-level compliance review meeting.
The meeting, according to a release, is scheduled for Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at 12 noon in the Speaker’s Conference Room on Capitol Hill.
It is expected to focus on receiving a comprehensive compliance update concerning the operations of Arcelor Mittal Liberia (AML), with specific attention to the company’s adherence to regulatory frameworks and concession agreements over its 20 years of activity in the country.
The House Joint Committee Chaired by Representative Foday E. Fahnbulleh, underscored the importance of transparency, accountability, and sustained oversight in all concession-related matters.
Fahnbulleh says the review will serve as a platform to assess past performance, identify areas of concern, and guide future policy and investment frameworks.
All relevant parties are urged to attend promptly and come prepared with detailed documentation and reports pertaining to AML’s operational history, compliance metrics, and collaborative engagements with the government.
