Outgoing Liberian President George Manneh Weah has rallied youthful the population of Liberia to embrace peace as the first and last option. Weah in his New Year’s Day Message, called on young people not to be used in undermining the hardened peace the country enjoys. Speaking at his ForkyJlaleh Family Fellowship Church, the Liberian leader cautioned youths not to be carried away by some of their colleagues who had refused to take in the training their parents gave them but desire to engage in drug and crimes. Preaching of the theme:” Peace, the best option for a happier life,” President Weah reminded Liberians never again to return to the dark days of the country’s past, stressing the dreadful happenings that the nation must never experience. He noted that it is time Liberians realize that the country is one of the best on the planet to which powerful countries depend on and no matter the situation must Liberia return to its ugly past. The Liberian leader called on members of his parish to unit as Ambassadors in fostering peace and national unity as a catalyst in meeting their destiny helper in 2024. Last November, 2023, President Weah resounded calls for maintaining Liberia’s peace.

n his message to the nation, the Liberian leader congratulated Joseph Boakai as the winner in a heavily contested runoff election which was marked by tension that threatened the peace of the country. Weah stated that he was concealing for the sake of peace and called on the incoming government to ensure the peace of Liberia is protected.
