CB Dunbar Hospital has reportedly come under intense scrutiny. The situation erupted after Norwai Kolleh and Yassah Mulbah, came forward with allegations of mistreatments. The female pair highlighted a collapse in patient care and staff discipline. Norwai Kolleh, a resident of Zowentai in Electoral District #1, alleged that on November 21, 2025, she left her bed briefly to use the bathroom.  “When I returned, I found another patient occupying my bed, while my belongings had been thrown across the emergency room.” She told the in The Profile Daily newspaper that nurses admitted to have removed her items to accommodate an incoming emergency patient.  She said the nurses provided no alternative place for her to rest.  As a result, Madam Kollie reportedly spent the night stranded in the hospital hallway, despite having paid the required L$800 admission fee. She described the experience as humiliating, and said, the lack of proper management left her with no choice, but to endure the night on the floor. For Yassah Mulbah, who had undergone a C-section procedure, alleged that she had been granted temporary credit by hospital administration until her partner arrived from Yaniquelleh to make payment.

She said, her partner settled the full L$14,680 the next morning. Despite this, she alleged that a doctor brought another patient onto her bed, insisting the action was due to her “delay” in paying.

Still recovering from surgery and caring for her newborn, Yassah narrated that she was forced to relocate to the hospital’s kitchen, an area used for staff meals; entirely unsuitable for a post-operative patient.  She further said that when her partner presented the official receipt, hospital staff refused to provide a bed, instructing her to remain outside behind the building near the laundry area, where she reportedly spent the night.

The allegations from Norwai Kolleh and Yassah Mulbah, point to a systemic failure at the facility, marked by mismanagement, lack of professionalism, and disregard for patient safety.

The hospital now faces growing pressure to investigate the claims thoroughly and implement corrective measures to restore patient trust and ensure that such alleged mistreatment does not continue.

The Chief Administrator of CB Dunbar Hospital, Enoch Morris, dismissed the allegations, describing it as completely “false and misleading.”
