MIND Defends Pro -Tempore Karnga- Lawrence

Senate Pro-Tempore Nyonblee Karnga Lawrence was accused by Stakeholders of Margibi County for reportedly reversing the earlier appointments of Margibi County local officials made by President Joseph Nyuma Boakai on April 23, 2024 with several sons and daughters of the county.

In a released on Friday, May 31, 2024,  MIND claimed conducting investigation of the Stakeholders of Margibi allegations against Senator Lawrence but  found same as baseless, falsehood, unbelievable, and misleading to the public. MIND stressed that at no know time, the President Pro – Tempore of the Liberian Senate, Senator Nyonblee Karnga Lawrence revert the decisions of the President His Excellency Joseph Nyuma Boakai or delayed the confirmations of these appointed officials of Margibi County MIND debunked impeccable sources confided in Frontpage Africa of Senator Lawrence having meeting in Monrovia at a local resort with some supporters of the Unity Party (UP) headed by former Margibi County Superintendent Levi Z. Pia Of a motive to put a leadership in power of the Margibi Local Administration who will closely work in Senator Lawrence interest for her bid to become President in the 2029 General and Presidential Elections. MIND condemned the misleading information to the strongest and called on the citizens of Margibi County and Liberia not to take serious these so-called Stakeholders in Margibi County MIND emphasized some media houses are not following the ethics of journalism but practicing yellow journalism to destroy the good reputation of Senator Lawrence. MIND believes that when Liberians are given the opportunity to serve their nation, like Senator Lawrence should be encouraged to work for Liberia rather than trying to use the media to count out issues which are not relevant to moving the country forward. In conclusion,  MIND said: “We call on the President Pro -Tempore of the Liberian Senate, Senator Nyonblee-Karnga Lawrence to continue the good work at the Senate that will move the country forward.”
