Residents in Zorzor District, Lofa County, have embraced a renewed spirit of unity and cooperation.

This followed the conclusion of a three-day peace and development engagement.

The event was led by the Zorzor District Development Caucus (ZDDC).

The delegation, which departed Monrovia on Thursday, November 13, held community dialogues with residents of Gbuluyeamah, Zeamah, and Gizemah Clans in Konia Town, and Zorzor City, before returning to Monrovia on Sunday, November 16.

The outreach effort has been widely praised as a major step toward reconciliation, trust-building, and coordinated development planning in the district.

Elder Beyan Howard, applauded the initiative.

Howard was among those who attended Saturday’s engagement in Zorzor City.

He expressed deep appreciation to the ZDDC leadership for paying him an official courtesy visit during their tour.

He called the gesture “historic and respectful.”

He urged all prominent sons and daughters of the district to rally behind the caucus’ peacebuilding efforts.

Throughout the mission, the caucus, led by Tarnue L. Douwai, was formally presented to residents in all three clans.

Mr. Douwai said the caucus was established to strengthen relationships, support development initiatives, and unify the voice of the district.

 “Our agenda are roads, agriculture, education, and healthcare, depends on unity at every level.”

Friday’s meeting in Konia Town brought together residents of the Gbuluyeamah and Zeamah Clans.

They highlighted priorities such as feeder road rehabilitation; improved school facilities; support for farming communities;

stronger coordination between residents and district leadership in Monrovia.

Elders praised the caucus for beginning the engagement in a rural area, describing it as a sign of respect and inclusion.
