What Does Kogar Want?

…Runs To CDC, ANC

Nimba County Senator Samuel G. Kogar is reportedly at the center of early political negotiations, reportedly seeking for vice presidency at all cost.

Kogar is reportedly considering potential alliances ahead of 2029 general elections, preferably with the oppositions Congress for Democratic Change (CDC) of George Weah, and the Alternative National Congress (ANC), led by Alexander Benedict Cummings.

Sources close to the senator have confirmed to this outlet that Sen. Kogar held a private meeting with Cummings at Mr. Cummings’ residence in the 11th Street area of Monrovia. According to our source, the discussion focused on a possible political partnership with Cummings proposing Sen. Kogar as a potential running mate in the upcoming presidential race.

While the meeting ended on a “cordial note,” Sen. Kogar reportedly told Cummings: “it is too early to decide his political future.”

He cited ongoing considerations with other political actors, including former president George Weah.

Our source further revealed that Mr. Weah has also approached Sen. Kogar with an offer to serve as his running mate on a potential CDC ticket.

Kogar is said to be taking a “cautious approach” as he reportedly told Mr. Cummings that making hasty decisions at this stage could have significant consequences, and advised patience as the political landscape continues to evolve.

Kogar dual engagement with the two most prominent political figures has already sparked speculations about his next political move, potentially positioning him as a “key kingmaker, or a political failure in 2029.”

But, voters in his backyard are said to have expressed divided opinions about the way he was running with politics as a sitting senator. Source: FOXX TV
