The governing Unity Party (UP) has announced plans to build a ‘permanent’ national headquarters.

The latest development is said to be a symbol of unity and resilience for the party and the nation.

It is also a significant move to strengthen the Party’s commitment to the Liberian people.

The announcement marks the beginning of a new chapter for the Party as it seeks to solidify its legacy and purpose in Liberia’s democratic journey.

Critics of the views that for many years, UP has stood as a beacon of hope, leadership, and dedicated service to the citizens.

In a News conference on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, Grand Cape Mount County Senator Dabbah M. Varpilah, said the envisioned headquarters is not merely a building; it represents a shared dream and a commitment to a better future for generations of UP members.

“This headquarters will be more than just a building with walls and windows. It will stand as a living symbol of our shared sacrifice and our enduring belief in Liberia’s promise, Sen. Varpilah said.

“The new headquarters will be a space to generate new ideas, forge bold strategies, and plan together for victories.”

To ensure the success of this ambitious project, the Party has established a comprehensive structure for coordination and fundraising.

A Fundraising Committee will mobilize resources both domestically and internationally, while a Mobilization Committee will engage partisans in the counties.

The main fundraising and homecoming event is scheduled at the Old Unity Party Headquarters in Congo Town.
