Tubman University (TU) has announced a major leap in its mission to provide quality education and healthcare services.
The institution, under the leadership Dr. Olu Q. Menjay, is expected to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sharda University and Sharda Hospital.
The event is to marks a significant milestone in advancing higher education and healthcare in the county.
In the MoU, the partnership aims to foster academic exchange programs; strengthen medical cooperation; enhance professional training; promote research development and support institutional capacity building.
Representative Anthony F. Williams, District #2 Lawmaker, who announced the partnership, said it will open new doors for students, faculty, and healthcare professionals and expand educational and medical opportunities for Marylanders.
This initiative aligns with broader efforts to improve access to quality higher education and healthcare services; creating international opportunities for students and professionals connected to TU.
Meanwhile, the anticipated signing of the MoU is expected to take place in the coming months.
Dr. Menjay said, until the signing oif the MoU, the institution has been actively seeking international partnerships to enhance its academic programs and research capabilities.
He praised Sharda University for their partnership, stating: “It’s a significant step forward TU. We are excited about this collaboration and look forward to the opportunities it will bring.”
Dr. Menjay added that TU will continue to seek international partnerships to enhance its academic activities and research capabilities, further solidifying its position as one of the leading institutions.
Recent collaborations included partnerships with the University of Global Health Equity (UGHE) in Rwanda; the University of Johannesburg, and Mercer University in the United States.
