Court staff assigned at the Toubo District Magisterial Court, have appealed to judicial authority to urgently renovate facility.

At present, the staff claimed that the current structure has woefully collapsed due to overstayed used.

The deplorable state of the facility has meanwhile, sparked serious concerns about access to justice for residents, who are already struggling to access justice.

The deteriorating court building is just one part of the problem, now that the district also lacks a police station, leaving residents with no option to report crimes or seek timely legal help, especially during emergencies. Community members and local leaders have raised alarm, saying the situation is eroding confidence in the justice system, and exposing the locals to increased insecurity.

To renovate the court edifice, and as well establish a police presence are seen as critical steps to ensure fair, effective, and accessible justice for Toubo District.

By addressing the challenges, local leaders believe law enforcement will be strengthened, promote peace, accountability, and the rule of law.

Similar pleas have been made for other courts, including the Jarkaken Magisterial Court, which has reportedly been abandoned, leaving residents vulnerable to rising crime.
