Suspended Lawmakers’ Fate Still Uncertain

“The House of Representatives would like to clarify that no decision has been made regarding the lifting of the suspension of any suspended members. Contrary to recent reports, any decisions regarding the suspension of members can only be made within the plenary session, the highest decision-making body in the legislature,” a release from Capitol Building has indicated.

The release said it is important to note that the legislative body operates on the principle that no decision, once made in plenary, can be overturned or amended outside of a plenary session. “The power to review, change, or undo any previous decisions lies solely within the authority of the plenary. Therefore, any news suggesting the lifting of suspensions for members without plenary approval is false and misleading,” the release clarities.

“The House urges the public to disregard such reports and avoid being misled. Any legitimate developments on this matter will be communicated officially by the House through the Press and Public Affairs Department,” the release further noted.
