The Monrovia City Court, has ordered the arrest of Moses H. Abossouhe, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of St. Moses Funeral Parlor.
Abossouhe is arrested in connection with the “unlawful exhumation of a deceased woman, and other related offenses.”
The writs, signed by Stipendiary Magistrate L. Ben Barco, followed a complaint filed by private prosecutrix, Euphemia Thompson Wisner, through the Republic.
According to court documents, defendants Abossouhe, and co-defendants Stanley Y. Roberts, and Jackie Greene, are accused of participating in the illegal disinterment of the remains of the late Pinky Greene.
The complaint states that Pinky Greene died on January 1, 2026, and was buried on January 31, 2026. However, on February 25, 2026, her grave was “opened at a cemetery in Johnsonville.”
The body was reportedly removed and later reburied in Bomi County at a gravesite owned and operated by Abossouhe.
Court records further alleged that the act was carried out without legal authorization and in violation of Section 18.12 of Liberia’s New Penal Law, which addresses abuse of a corpse.
Prosecutors say the alleged conduct was “intentional, unlawful, and executed in conspiracy among the accused.”
Charges filed against the defendants
include abuse of a corpse; criminal facilitation and criminal conspiracy.
The court has meanwhile, instructed law enforcement authorities, including Captain Charles Bloyueloh of the Magistrate Police, to arrest the defendants and bring them before the Monrovia City Court to answer to the charges.
Separate writ issued against Jackie Greene
In a separate writ dated February 26, 2026, defendant Jackie Greene faces additional charges to include:
misapplication of entrusted property; theft of property and abuse of a corpse.
Prosecutors alleged that Greene unlawfully removed the body of her late aunt, and deposited it at St. Moses Funeral Parlor “without proper authorization,” in violation of the Penal Law.
