Spoon Network Investigates CSA

Spoon Network is investigating allegations of widespread nepotism by Civil Service Agency (CSA) Director-General, Josiah Joekai.

Multiple sources confirmed that Joekai has placed numerous closed relatives in high-ranking, high-salaried government positions.

Some of the appointments include his wife, Joanna Domingo-Joekai, as director for Nursing at JFK Medical Center; his two brothers, Korvy V. Joekai, who serves as director at the Ministry of Health, and Victor Kpatakolee, as director of Security at CSA; his brother-in-law, Zarballee Woiwor “ZB,” being promoted from deputy director for Employment Service to  Special Technical Assistant and Chief of Staff, taking home an Assistant Minister’s salary.

Joekai’s cousin, Mulbah K. Yorgbor, Jr., is director for reform at CSA, while Prince Weeks, a relative of his wife, heads procurement department.

Critics within the Agency label the leadership a “Joekai and Wife Dynasty,” alleging that merit-based hiring has been abandoned in favor of cronyism. They warn that this erodes public trust and fosters corruption.

Mr. Joekai is yet to address the reports.
