Motorcyclists in Fish Town, River Gee County, have received a major boost from Senator Jonathan Boy-Charles Sogbie’s office.

The donation includes 100 reflective jackets, 22 safety helmets, and 10 cartons of high-quality engine oil, to enhance road safety and working conditions for riders.

The handover ceremony took place at the Senator’s Jimmy Ville residence, with Chris T. Wah and Home Office Coordinator Charles Jah representing the senator.

Mohammed Aliou Bah, Vice President for Administration of the Motorcyclists’ Union, received the items.

Bah described the senator’s gesture as “timely and impactful.”

The Union President, Christian J. Doe, also thanked Sen. Sogbie, saying: “the gear will improve motorcyclists’ safety, and improve their daily operations.”

The donation will support an ongoing training program to boost rider professionalism and traffic regulation adherence.

The Senator’s office reaffirmed its commitment to support the Union and community development initiatives.

The donation stands out for including engine oil, a first for River Gee County, showing a comprehensive approach to support motorcyclists.

It is seen as a big step for road safety and local transport capacity.
