Lofa County Senator Momo Cyrus is proactively fulfilling his campaign promises to his people.

It can be recalled during his county wide campaign tour, Cyrus promised human capital development, especially for young Lofaians.

As a manifestation of his commitment, he has announced a L$1 million financial aid to students at the Lofa County University (LCU), and the Free Pentecostal University (FPU) respectively.

Cyrus believes that one of the best ways to develop a nation is to empower the youth; something he pledged his commitment to for the common good of the county.

As a passionate leader, Sen. Cyrus sees preparation of the young people through capacity development as a significant pillar to lasting peace and stability of any nation.

His latest initiative is in addition to his already sponsored, and expanded over US$10,000 for students attending Cuttington University, the African Methodist Episcopal Zion University, United Methodist University and Smythe University.

Cyrus said, his financial aid will be a key focus and a core of his leadership.

Meanwhile, his intervention in the wake of financial hardship has been described as not only timely, but a great relief for struggling parents.

Cyrus has therefore, instructed his chief of office staff, Arthur Kowah, to coordinate with the leaderships of those universities, and an independent multi- stakeholders’ scholarship committee, to ensure that the targeted students are fully absorbed by his gesture.
