Sarah Foundation Donates To Young Children

In an effort to put smiles and laughter on the faces of young children during Liberia’s 177 Independence Day Celebration, a non-governmental organization, Sarah Foundation Incorporated, has identified with several kids in the New Georgia Community. At a well-attended program which was held at the Jesus For All International Ministries Inc. within the Nigeria Shop Community along the New Georgia road, executives of the Foundation donated several food and none food items to children between the ages of one to fifteen years of age. In a brief soul touching narrative regarding the establishment of the Foundation, the Vision Bearer of Sarah Foundation Inc., Madam Princess Robert Sheriff asserted that the establishment of the institution came to her through a vision, something she said is in fulfillment and obedience to God’s instruction. “This dream/vision was given to me by God in May 2023. It came as a revelation and I was so afraid, but I had to get it going in obedience to God’s instruction,” she said. She continues: “We are very much excited to see that everyone is here today, this clearly shows that this foundation is going to grow bigger because as it is often said ‘if your Christmas will be good, you will know it from the eve, this is a people center initiative and we can assure you that things will even get better and bigger than what is happening here today.” According to her, their plans for the kids are good and they have no intention of making profit from said venture, adding “when I was bring spoken to by God, He told me that this vision is bigger than just giving handout to people or for kids stretching their hands to me, but it is intended to build a better future for the children.” Madam Sheriff noted that the foundation is not an orphanage home that gives out things to the needy, instead they are building a facility to help train, love and as well serve as guidance to the younger ones. For his part, the Pastor of the Jesus For All International Ministries and Manager of the Foundation, Reverend John Quoiquoi in an excited mood, indicated that they never expected to see the huge turnout of over two hundred children based on the short notice. He then used the occasion to call on the government, well-wishers and Liberian in general to receive every child with open arms as instructed by Jesus in Matthew 19:14 (Jesus said do not deny the children, don’t stop them from coming unto me). Accordingly, he does believe that Jesus said that in regards to the future because a nation with a youthful population, is certainly on the path of progress. “If the people are well prepared, that nation stand to benefit, if not, the nation will go down,” he said. Rev. Quoiquoi maintained that in order for that to happen, a helping hand must be extended to the children, boasting that the institution will certainly make the difference. “This foundation will remain different from the others, because every item that we will receive in the name of the Foundation will be used for the intended purpose,” he said. According to him, plans are underway to include wayward children, especially those without parents into the foundation agenda. Also speaking at the program, Sarah Foundation Inc. Welfare Manager, Markaih T. Lysander said they are now challenged to do better for the children, and will ensure that whatever little that they have will be used in order for everyone to benefit. Accordingly, the organization hope to do better upon its return to the community, thus estimating the total cost what spend to purchase the items for the children to a little over US$3,000.
